The Crafters and Creations Events brings crafters, creators, small businesses, and shoppers together through thoughtfully planned craft shows and events.

Our goal is simple: to create welcoming events where vendors are excited to set up, shoppers are excited to attend, and everyone can enjoy the experience.

Meet the Founder

Hi, I’m Talena Bacon, founder of The Crafters and Creations Events.

I’ve been an entrepreneur for more than 38 years, and throughout that journey, I’ve experienced business from many different sides.

I’ve been a crafter, participated in craft shows in different states, owned a brick-and-mortar gift shop, worked with product-based business owners, and written a book about navigating the craft show world.

All of those experiences eventually led me here — creating and promoting events of my own.

I've Been on the Vendor Side, Too

I know what goes into preparing for a craft show because I’ve done it myself.

I know about packing products, loading the car, setting up displays, spending the day talking with customers, and then packing everything back up again at the end of the show.

I also know how important clear information, communication, organization, and promotion are when you're deciding where to invest your time and money as a vendor.

That experience is something I bring with me to every event I plan through The Crafters and Creations Events.

More Than 38 Years in Business

My journey has also included owning a brick-and-mortar gift shop, where I gained firsthand experience with merchandising, customer service, marketing, and running a product-based business. That experience, along with my years as a crafter and vendor, continues to shape how I approach The Crafters and Creations Events.

From Crafter to Author

My experience as a crafter and craft show vendor eventually led me to write Breaking into the Craft Show Circuit.

I wrote the book to share what I had learned and help other crafters better understand how to prepare for and participate in craft shows.

Writing the book became another part of my journey that eventually led me to creating craft shows of my own.
